A little clarity before you calculate.

Meta starts charging for customer service messages after the first 1,000 free deliveries per business number each month. Utility templates are also charged within the 24-hour customer service window. Mexico’s marketing rate also increases.

No. Every message delivered by your business is counted separately. Eight replies in one support interaction mean eight service messages. Messages sent by the customer are not charged.

Select the country of the recipient’s phone number and the currency Meta uses to bill your account. A Brazilian business can message US customers and pay in reais. Changing currency loads another official rate card, not a live exchange-rate conversion.

Each business number receives 1,000 free service messages per month, with no rollover. Systems using the same number share that allowance. Eligible messages in free ad-entry windows can be entered in the adjustments. Do not count the same exemption twice.

Utility and authentication have separate monthly tiers for each market and category. Each tier’s rate applies only to messages within that tier. Meta aggregates usage across the business portfolio; include all of it to estimate the full month. Service and marketing do not receive these volume discounts.

No. This estimates WhatsApp Business Platform messaging rates for ordinary business customer support. Platform subscriptions, providers, AI usage, taxes, calling and ads are separate. Special Meta products and general-purpose AI providers may have different rules. The WhatsApp Business app is a separate product.
